Chardonnay

Die Rebsorte Cabernet Sauvignon mit weisser Traube hat vermutlich französischen Ursprung in der gleichnamigen Gemeinde Chardonnay in Burgund. Sie verbreitete sich dann so weit, dass sie von Australien bis Kalifornien, von Südamerika bis Israel und natürlich bis Italien zu einer der am meisten angebauten weissen Rebsorten der Welt wurde.

Je nach Böden und klimatischen Bedingungen, in denen sie angebaut wird, verleiht Chardonnay den Weinen unterschiedliche aromatische Komponenten.
Aus dieser Rebsorte können sowohl stille als auch klassische Schaumweine hergestellt werden und auch in der DOC «Alghero» finden wir beide Sorten, die sich durch eine strohgelbe Farbe, ein zart-fruchtiges Geruchsprofil und einen zarten und harmonischen Geschmack auszeichnen.

Blatt: mittel, ganz, wellig und glatt.
Trauben-Bündel: mittelklein, kompakt mit zylindrisch-konischer Form, mit manchmal zwei leicht ausgeprägten Flügeln.
Traube: klein, kugelig
Schale: dünn und pruinös, grün-gelb gefärbt.
