Alghero DOC Cagnulari

The Alghero Cagnulari (or Cagniulari) DOC is reserved for wines that contain at least 85% Cagnulari, with the permitted addition of varieties of the same color, authorized for the Sardinia region.
The organoleptic characteristics of Alghero DOC Cagnulari include a ruby red color.The olfactory profile of the wine is vinous, distinctive and dry, slightly tannic and harmonious on the palate.

The DOC Alghero Cagnulari wine can also be classified Reserve if subjected to an aging period of at least 24 months, starting from November 1st of the harvest year. In this case the organoleptic characteristics include a ruby red color tending to garnet with aging, a vinous, pleasant, characteristic olfactory profile and a wine that is dry and full-bodied on the palate.
